We are fortunate to have all of the available census records for Colorado County online. In cooperation with the Nesbitt Memorial Library many of them are in several formats—both images of the original pages and searchable indexes. 1890 Census

Special Schedule of Surviving Union Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines, and Widows, Etc.
The 1890 census was damaged by fire in 1921. Several years later, what remained of the original pages was destroyed. The only Colorado County part of it the census that is known to have survived is the special schedule of surviving soldiers, sailors, marines, and widows, which lists all the persons in the county who served in the United States military, and the widows of such persons, during the Civil War.
